LGBTQ+ Carers Café

Our LGBTQ+ Carers Café is a friendly and welcoming space to meet others, share experiences, and feel supported. The café takes place on the second Friday of each month from 10:00 – 12:00 at the Bradbury Centre.

This space has been created to recognise that LGBTQ+ carers can sometimes face challenges that others may not fully understand. This might include not being recognised as next of kin, having your relationship questioned or dismissed, being misgendered or outed in healthcare settings, or worrying about discrimination if you share who you are. Experiences like these can feel isolating, and this café aims to offer a place where you can feel understood and accepted.

It’s a relaxed and informal space where you can chat with others who may relate to your experiences, or simply come along for a cuppa and some company. There’s no pressure to talk or share anything you’re not comfortable with — you’re welcome to join in at your own pace and just be yourself.

Our team will also be there if you’d like any information, support, or help finding other services. Whether you’re hoping to connect with others, feel a little less alone, or simply spend some time in a supportive space, you’ll always be warmly welcomed.
